Irish Gale Williams

March 20, 1951 — December 11, 2024

Ms. Irish was born in Kilgore, Texas, on March 20th, 1951. She was the 10th child born to Roosevelt Williams Sr.  And Chaney Elizabeth Templeton Williams. Irish love the Lord and accept Jesus Christ at an early age at the Fredonia missionary Baptist church of Kilgore, Texas. She was most recently a member of the Mt Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church as of 2017 when she relocated from Longview to Plano, Texas. Irish was active at Fredonia for many years in the choir and on the Usher Board. While at Mt. Pisgah, she served in the choir and played the tambourine faithfully. Irish received her education at Fredonia Elementary in Kilgore, Texas, Booker T Washington High School in Sweetwater, Texas, and completed courses at Danville School in Kilgore, Texas.

Irish was better known to family and friends as Gale or "Fanny Brown". Gale was a football enthusiast who admired America's team, the Dallas Cowboys. Any given Sunday During the season, she was cheering on her Cowboys. Gale was loved by family and friends and known as a very caring person. She helped to rear several nieces and nephews and all the freedom of community kids. She was a great cook some of the best fried chicken and homemade donuts around.

While in Kilgore, Gale was an active member of the Best Friends Adult Activity Center. There, she developed some great relationships and had loads of fun. Gale was known to many as a great dancer if you know you know.

During her stay at Brookdale communities in Kilgore and Plano, Texas, Gale sewed a brand ambassador because of her friendly personality. She was also a vendor who sold her handcrafted goods, such as hats, jewelry, and blankets. Gale enjoyed playing and winning at bingo. The staff and other residents were always delighted by her company.

If Gale had your number, you knew she was a quick correspondent. She would call and check on you, but you had to be ready for the rabbit questions and fast dismount. Gale was known for her love of people and had a passion for making everyone feel special.

On December 11, 2024, at 6:01 p.m., Irish Gale Willams gained her wings and joined her heavenly Father. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Evelyn Todd, JoElla Jones, Cleo Mumphrey, and Marie Reddic, and brothers Linnie Williams, Roosevelt Williams, Jr., Sidney Williams Winston Williams, Carl Williams, and Billy Williams.

Gale leaves behind to cherish her memories: her sister Margaret Buard; sisters in love Sandra Williams and Wanda Williams; special nieces/ daughters Yvonne Adams-Sales, Natasha Russell, Karen Smith, Kim Thomas-Walker, and Terri Reddic; nephews/sons Dr. Aubrey Todd II, Evertt Todd, Gerald Todd, Alex Jones, and Scott Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, and family by way of the Templeton, Williams, Thomas, and Alexander families.
