Willie Lewis "Pap" Elam

Mr. Willie Lewis Elam affectionally known as "Pap" was born on February 20, 1945 to the late Emma Jewel Wabbington and Jesse Elam in Hallsville, TX. Willie attended H.B. Pemberton in Marshall, Texas. Later he began his career as a professional truck driver where he traveled to all 50 states. He soon met the love of his life, Barbara Rochelle Carter Elam. They married and had 8 beautiful children together as a result of this divine union. Christopher Carter-Elam, Veronica Jackson (Larry), Ynetta Miller, Spencer Derek (Jamie), Marcus (Shedericca), Brandi Elam-Morgan (Vernon), Sherelle Adams (Drayton), and Andre Kelly (Brandi).

He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Elam, daughter Ynetta Elam-Miller, sisters Ester Elam (2021), Nellie B. Washington, Cassandra Elam-Wiley, and Gertrude Elam and brother Robert Elam.

Mr. Willie Elam is survived by his last living sibling Jessie Mae Elam and a beautiful legacy of 30 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends and extended family.
