Wilbert Lee Dorsey

Wilbert Lee Dorsey Sr. was born September 15, 1940 in Whitehouse, Texas to parents Christiania Mackey and James Dorsey Sr.

Wilbert attended Stanton High School, graduating in the class of 1961.

He was empoyled with Southern Foundry for 23 years and Lowes for 20 years.

He married Maxine LaVern Owens in November 1960 to this union they where blessed with three children, Wilbert Dorsey Jr., Arnetter McCarrell and Delora Young.

Wilbert enjoyed watching and playing sports in his earlier years. He enjoyed spending time with family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister James Dorsey Jr. and LaJoyce Dorsey Ervin.

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of 56 years, Maxine Dorsey of Bullard, TX; one son and two daughters, Wilbert Dorsey of Bullard, TX, Arnetter McCarrell,and Delora (Don) Young both of Mesquite, TX; four grandchildren, Andre, Reed, Deja, and Dyani; two sisters, Mildred (Robert) Willis of Whitehouse, TX and Jettie Smith of Tyler, TX; four brothers,L.D. (Virginia Ann) Dorsey, Billy (Angie) Dorsey, andTommy Dorsey all of Tyler, TX, Walter (Lula) of Whitehouse,TX. Ahost of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
