He was born to the late Alonzo and Lois Sheffield July 24, 1938.Wesley united with the church of the living God at an early age.Wesley attended public School in Greg County. He worked from age 13 to help his parents take care of the home and help provide for his siblings.

He moved to Dallas in 1955 and married the late Early Mae Sheffield and to this union bore 4 children and inherited 1 stepchild.

On September 11, 1977 he began a life with Sherrie L.Criteserin Dallas TXthat lasted to this day totaling 37 years of unity and bore 3 children.

Wesley was a contractor, construction worker and managed for Fox andJacobs until he retired in 1995. He has inspired, taught and hired many of his loved ones throughout his career.

Preceding him in death are 8 sisters and brothers James Sheffield,ErmailSheffield, Ruben Sheffield, Clara Cameron,LonzoSheffield, EarnestineTaylor, Allen Ray Sheffield, and Allen Roy Sheffield and 1child, Carson DaleSheffield.

He leaves to cherish his wife Sherrie L.Criteser, and his children, Terry Sheffield, Wesley SheffieldJr, Charles Sheffield (Vanessa), Elizabeth Ann Franklin, Michelle Floyd (Ayo), SabrinaCriteser, Wesley A.Criteser(Regina), sisterErma Jean Young,and brotherJ.B. Sheffield(Carolyn)anda host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
