Tristan Bernard Dunn

June 1, 1991 — November 4, 2023

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, and they shall walk and not faint – Isaiah 40:31

Born June 1, 1991, in Longview, Tx, Tristan Bernard Dunn is the eldest child of Tony and Laconia Dunn.

He departed this earthly life on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the age of 32.

Tristan was a member of Friendship West Baptist Church in Dallas, TX where he gave his life to Christ at a young age. He attended Cedar Hill High School in Cedar Hill, Texas.

A visionary, Tristan had a passion for building and composing music across all genres. His prolific style of rap music was embraced by both local and well-known artists. Likewise, his dedication and determination led to an impressive appearance on the legendary BET show 106 & Park at the age of 17.

One of Tristan’s greatest and most proud accomplishments was creating his own music brand, MSE where he introduced and mentored up and coming artists. He also helped to produce innovative and creative ways for artists to enter into the world of music.

He recently discovered a new talent in the guitar, where he found peace and solace.

While Tristan held many titles in his life from being an artist to entrepreneur, his favorite role was being a father. He loved his children and embraced every moment spent with them.

You could often find Tristan surrounded by his squad. He knew how to brighten up a dark room. He touched the lives of all who were in his presence as well being an inspiration to many.

He will be remembered as charismatic, the life of the party, wise beyond his years, intelligent, introspective, and a loving father, son, brother, and friend.

Tristan was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Bobby Ray Dunn, Sr. and maternal grandfather John D. Smith and one of his favorite cousins and best friends Bartez Dunn.

Tristan leaves to celebrate his life and precious memories: devoted and loving parents, precious children Jayden, Kylo, and Sora Dunn.

5 brothers: Devarick (Tiffany) Dunn, Micah Armstrong, Jeremiah (Jannah) Armstrong, Johnathan Dunn, and Tony Dunn, Jr.; 2 sisters: Brianna Dunn and Treniti Dunn. Dear friend and companion, Sierra Payton. Grandmothers: Rena Scott, Mary Dunn, and bonus grandmother Zora Cohen (memaw). Adoring Great Uncle & Aunt Sylvester & Shirley Marshall, uncles, aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
