Tomie Ellie Wady

He was born October 28, 1918 to the parentage of the late Tommie and Nellie Patrick Wady in Gregg County. He was married to the late Eva Mae Cobbs Wady.

He attended West Point Elementary Schools. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant CME Church. He preached his first sermon at the age of 7. He Pastored in the Central and East Conferences.He was preceded in death by two children, one grandchild, two brothers, one sister.He survived by six children; Melvin Wady of Longview,TX; Darnell Wady of Whittier, CA; Joe Benny Wady of Killeen, TX; Mae Lois Prior, of Terrell, TX; Brenda Chalmers of Longview, TX; Delia Wady of Kilgore, TX; Twenty-one grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, ten great-greatgrandchildren.
