T. Carrie Rossum Reeves

T. Carrie (Rossum) Reeves was born to the late Aaron and Joycie (Henderson) Rossum on February 16, 1927 in Rusk County, TX. She was the seventh child of the ten union.

Mrs. Reeves attended New Hope Community Schools until graduation. Then she received numerous plaques and awards for faithful service of 45 years at Roy A. Laird Memorial Hospital. While serving her community she was a loyal and dedicated servant of God at Wayside Church of God in Christ under the leadership of the late Pastor Henry Prentice. She also served under the leadership of Superintendent Charles Burrell and currently served under Pastor Joe Murphy until God called her from her labor on December 19, 2018.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two children; Brenda and Glenn, four grandsons, Damien, Christopher, Corey, and Sheldon. Seven siblings: Aaron Lee, Odessa, Marvin, Alvin, Melba Jean, Jim, Ophelia.

She is survived by: her children; Louis (Patricia), Richard, Carolyn (Richard), Carrie, Eleanor. Siblings; Lorenzo Rossum, Mildred Williams, Wanda Alex, Grace Smith, Gloria Alex, Terry Alex, Paul Alex, Eugene Alex, Lorenzo Alex. Fifteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Very special friend Mrs. Dorothy Prentice. A host of other relatives and friends.
