Sylvester Crabb Sr. was born to the parentage of the late Peter Crabb and Celie Crabb Simon in Rusk County, Texas on November 22, 1925.
He attended school in Rusk County, Texas (Mayflower Community). He joined the Army on May 3, 1945 where he served as a cook. He later worked for American Supply until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his son Sylvester Crabb Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters Beatrice Mackey and Doris Crabb of Dallas, Texas. One son Sylvester Marshall of Grand Prairie, Texas. Daughter-in-law Bonnie Crabb of Kilgore, Texas. Adopted son Jalen Bell of Kilgore, Texas. Four step- daughter’s Diane Sheffield of The Colony, Texas, Florence Sheffield of Grand Prairie, Texas, Mary Butler, and Mickey Walton (James) of Kilgore, Texas. Nine grandchildren, Six great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. A host of cousins and friends.
