Shirley Ann "Shing Shang" Benson-Roberson

She was born January 30, 1952 to the parentage of the late McKinley Benson Sr. and Brozeal Scott Benson in Kilgore, Texas. She confessed Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, she later attended Victory Temple COGIC. She attended CB Dansby, North Chapel and graduated from Sabine High School in 1970. She lived in Detroit, MI., Albuquerque, NM, and Fort Worth, TX. before returning to Kilgore. She was a dietery aide and worked at a group home for adults. She was loved by all.

She passed away July 6, 2016 as a result of a tragic accident.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, husband Lester Earl Roberson, sister Margaret Benson, brother McKinley Benson Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories, son Lamarcus Bell of Mesquite, TX; daughter Shareeta Mumphrey of Kilgore, TX; two brothers, John Benson (Janice) of Kilgore, TX: Rufus Benson of Indiana; eight grandchildren, sister-in-law Emma Freeman Benson of Kilgore, TX. Nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
