Shelvy Jean "Dean" Dennis

She was born March 10, 1937 in Rusk County to the parentage of the late Tom and Mary Medlock. She attended London Colored School and C.B. Dansby in Kilgore, Texas. At an early age she united with Harmony Pirtle Baptist Church and later united with New Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Kilgore, she was a faithful member at New Home Baptist Church in Overton until her health failed. She was a health care provider and cared for a number of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Oscar Dennis, five sisters, Margarie Garrett, Louise Bagley, Connie Radford, Tommie Faye Barnes, Mae Nelvin Deckard, two brothers, Willie T. Medlock, and J.C Medlock.She passed away April 24. 2016.She is survived by daughter, Nattlon Dennnis ( Harvey), son Enos Dennis ( Florie), five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, one sister, Josie Mayfield, one brother Billy Medllock( Ruth), a host of other relatives and friends.
