Sharon Yvonne Douglas Lockwood

Sharon Yvonne Douglas Lockwood fondly known to others as "Mz. Shay," was born in Dallas, TX on October 11, 1966, to the parentage of Theadore Douglas and the late Linda Douglas.

She attended Figueroa Street Elementary, Henry Clay Middle School, and graduated from George Washington Preparatory High School in the Class of 1984. She continued her education at El Camino Community College where she studied cosmetology. After graduating, Sharon opened her own salon called "The Mane Stop Hair Salon" in 1992 in Los Angeles, CA. Some of Sharon's favorite things to do were to cook, do hair, and listen to Erykah Badu.

She is preceded in death by her mother Linda Douglas and brother Willie "Tanky" Dennis.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories: husband Earl Lockwood of Los Angeles, CA; father Theadore Douglas of Kilgore, TX; sister Pamela Washington (Alton); niece Alexis Turner Washington; nephew Nicolas Washington; aunt Helen Adger, special family friend Ezell Lynch and a host of other relatives and friends.
