Diana

Shannon “Bubba” Lee Evans, age 55 of Diana, Texas, blessed this world on December 5, 1969 and left to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 11, 2025. He was born in Dallas, Texas to Billy Mack Evans and Billie Lee Hogue. Shannon graduated from Leveretts Chapel High School in 1989. He was an active member of Grace Crossing Church of God in White Oak, Texas. He married Kelly Diann Evans on May 14, 1995, and spent a total of 31 years as her husband and best friend. They loved to travel, especially to Hawaii, and just enjoyed being in each other’s company. One of their favorite past times was just riding around with the windows down and hitting up thrift shops. Together they had four beautiful children; MaKenna Evans Kent and husband Zachary Kent, Jacob Lee Evans and future wife Taylor Rode, Kayla Wright Evans, and Kade Evans and wife Maegan Evans. If you know Shannon, you know he loved music and going to concerts, but above all else, he loved his family unconditionally. He loved to tell stories from the past and could always make you laugh with his sarcasm. His favorite pastime was spending time with his kids and his grandkids, especially his little sidekick and mini best friend Madison Brooke. He was blessed with seven grandkids; Madison, Ellie, Brooklyn, Dawson, Olivia, Walker, and Noah.

Shannon is survived by his wife, Kelly Evans, all his children and grandchildren, his mother, Billie Lee Hogue, his sister, Cheryl Jean Evans who he shared a great friendship with, his brother Rickey Evans, brother Billy Keith Evans, sister Tammy Stotts, father-in-law and mother-in-law Rickey and Linda Newman, and several nieces and nephews.

Shannon was preceded in death by his father, Billy Mack Evans, brother, James “Mitch” Evans, sister, Pamela Evans, and cousin, Thomas Larry Reeves.

Shannon had the biggest heart and was very passionate about the St. Jude organization. The family ask in lieu of flowers, donations to St. Judes would be appreciated.
