Ruby Jewel Harrold Palmer

Ruby Jewel Harrold Palmer born July 23, 1933 in Gregg County to the late Aaron Harrold and Darcus Sheffield Harrold. She attended Kilgore Colored High School. She professed her faith at an early age and was baptized at El Bethel Baptist Church before moving her membership to the Greater St. John Baptist Church where she was pianist and served faithfully until her health failed. She retired from the Kilgore Independent School Distrist.

She met and married the love of her life, Johnny B. Palmer in 1953. She is preceded in death by her husband, Johnny B. Palmer, her parents, Aaron and Darcus Harrold; four brothers, James Harrold, John Henry Harrold, Douglas Harrold, and Willy Murphy Harrold; three sisters, Annie Mae Harrold, Louise Ward, and Jessie M. Warren.

She leaves to cherish loving memories, one daughter Ora Jean Anderson (Jay Dee), Missouri City, TX, two sons, Ronnie R. Palmer Sr. (Artelia) Spring, TX, and Eddie Palmer (Valerie), Longview TX.

Other survivors include: Two sisters, Orease H. Smith, Kilgore,TX and Clarice Bell, Kilgore, TX, seven grandsons, two granddaughters, two great granddaughters, one great grandson (Jeremiah), a host if nieces, and nephews and other family and friends.
