Roosevelt (Spriggy) Samples Sr.

Roosevelt Samples Sr. was born in Kilgore, Tx on February 5,1933 to the late Earnest and Henrietta Samples. He was a graduate of North Chapel High School. Roosevelt married the late Dorothy Roberson Samples and to their union they had four children: Valinda Norvell Samples, Roosevelt Smaples Jr, Anthony Ray Samples (Deceased) and Rodrick Augusta Samples. Roosevelt Samples retired from the City of Dallas at age 55 and had a long active retirement. Roosevelt Samples was a member of the Mt. Pleasant C.M.E. Church. He leaves to cherish his memory: brother Denver Samples and his sister Teola Pinkard Williams, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
