Ronald Burkes was born November 13, 1965, in Kountz, Texas to the late Fredrick Burkes Sr. and Ruthie Lois Drumgo- Shelton.
He attended school in San Jose, California and finished in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Fredrick Burkes Jr.
He was united in marriage January 10, 2003.
Ron leaves to cherish his memories his wife Leona Marie Burkes of Longview, TX; two daughters Koree Burkes of Oklahoma City, OK and Ella Newman (Chris) of Longview, TX; two sons Gordon Haynes of Longview, TX and Don Paul Haynes Jr. of Hemphill, TX; one niece Ranetta Euwing (Mitchell) of Longview, TX; one nephew Terrance Burkes of Longview, TX; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, and a host of relatives and friends.
