Richard Earl "Cowboy" Reeves

Richard Earl “Cowboy” Reeves, born on May 23, 1956, to the parentage of the late Richard Reeves and T. Carrie Rossum Reeves. He joined his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 4, 2022.

He attended Kilgore Independent Schools and graduated in 1975. He joined Wayside C.O.G.I.C under Elder Prentice and Pastor Joe Murphy. He was the drummer at the church for many years until his health declined.

Richard worked as a ranch-hand and did various odd jobs. He loved horses and even owned a couple himself. He was a big guy in stature but was very meek and quiet.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Elvis and Glenn Reeves, one sister Brenda Mathis, and nephews Sheldon, Damien, and Travis Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: three sisters Carolyn Humphrey (Richard) of Kilgore, TX, Carrie and Eleanor Reeves both of Longview, TX; two brothers Louis Reeves and Travis Williams both of Kilgore, TX; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Special friends Donald and Shirley Cox.
