Rev. Billy Joe Jackson Sr.

Upon Saturday, September 26, 2020. Our beloved Pastor Billy Joe Jackson Sr. was called to rest in God's comforting arms.

Billy J. Jackson Sr. was born on January 15, 1951 to the late Frank Jackson and Mozell Jackson Ingram.

Billy attended Fredonia and C.B. Dansby schools. He furthered his education and attended Interdenominational Theological Center Extension Education for Ministry.

Over the years he pastored at Antioch Baptist Church, Mount Olive Baptist Church, Kilgore Baptist Church, Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, Pleasant Hill, and New Hope Baptist Church to name a few. He retired from his ministry due to his health.

Billy Sr. started working at a very early age. He was nine years old working in the kitchen at the Rio Palm. He worked at Kilgore Ceramics, Halliburton, and for the City of Longview until he retired, all the while owning his own lawn care business for many years.

Pastor Jackson is survived by three sons Frank Jackson, Tony Jackson, and Billy Joe Jackson Jr.; one daughter Ta'Tanisha Madden; one step-daughter Shaniece Ray; one step-son Nicholes Green; one brother Viceroy Jackson; one sister Glodian Morgan, and a host of grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
