Raymond Smith

Raymond Smith was born on November 5, 1945 to the parentage of the late Mr. Gid Smith and Lomer Dudley. He departed this life on Thursday, August 12, 2021.  He leaves to mourn him, his devoted wife of over 50 years, Mary A. Smith and his five children Derrick (Sharonda), Antoinette (Douglas), Raymond Jr., Reginald, Kevin, and a host of grandkids, nieces and nephews.

Raymond attended CB Dansby High School and attended night classes at Kilgore College.  He was an active member of Southside Church of Christ.  Raymond was employed by Axelson and Haliburton for over 40 years until his retirement.  He also worked in the lawn care industry up until his death.

Raymond was preceeded in death by his sisters Ernestine Cobert, Louise Sibley, Margaret Pierce, Vernettia Hamilton, Janice Sadler, and his brother Charles Smith.  He leaves behind one brother Rommie Lee Smith.
