The Life and Legacy of Pamela Renee “Pam” Allen-Stinson
Today, we celebrate the beautiful, vibrant, and unforgettable life of Pamela Renee “Pam” Allen-Stinson. A woman whose love, laughter, faith, and spirit touched every life she encountered. Born on September 26, 1964, in ++San Angelo++, Texas to Opal Allen and the late Ardrie Allen, Pam entered this world full of sass, joy, personality, and purpose. From the very beginning, she knew how to make people smile, light up a room, and turn ordinary moments into lasting memories.
Love and family meant everything to her. On June 15, 2024, she married the love of her life, Alan Stinson, sharing a bond rooted in love, companionship, laughter, and unwavering support. Together they built a relationship full of happiness and genuine love.
Nothing brought her greater joy than being a mother and grandmother. Her children, Cedric Allen (Tasha Allen), Patrick Kirk (Niecy Kirk), and Kishoreae Johnson (Ericka Slickk Gallow), lovingly known as the baby and only daughter of the bunch — were truly her heart. She also lovingly embraced Shaneka Giddings and Shontray Giddings as her bonus daughters, loving them as her very own.
Her grandchildren, Genesis Allen, Audryana Johnson, Tyler Allen, Patrick Kirk Jr., Blake Allen, and D’Nym Mallard-Kirk, along with her bonus grandsons, brought endless joy into her life. Whether through laughter, hugs, conversations, or simply spending time together, every moment shared with them became a treasured memory. Being “NaNa” was one of the greatest honors and joys of her life.
Education and ambition played a major role in her journey. After graduating from ++Longview High School++, she pursued higher education, earning her Associate’s Degree in Accounting before later obtaining her Nursing Degree from ++Kilgore College++. Her caring spirit naturally led her into nursing, where she worked in hospitals throughout ++Dallas++, Texas before becoming a private duty nurse in ++Houston, Texas++. Caring for paraplegic children became more than just a profession , it became her calling. Through patience, compassion, and genuine love, she left a lasting impact on countless families and clients.
Though life allowed her to experience many places between Dallas, Texas and Houston, Texas, her heart eventually led her back home to ++Longview, Texas ++. Her passion for helping others continued as she transitioned into customer service and leadership roles for several companies. Most recently, she faithfully worked for over 10 years with Velera as a Customer Service Consultant/Supervisor, where she became deeply loved and respected by coworkers and customers alike.
Faith remained at the center of her life. A devoted evangelist with a powerful and deeply spiritual soul, she loved God wholeheartedly and never hesitated to encourage, uplift, or pray for those around her. Her spiritual journey began as a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in ++San Angelo, Texas ++and continued throughout several churches over the years. Her wisdom, prayers, and uplifting spirit became a source of comfort and strength to many.
Music was another gift she carried effortlessly. Blessed with an incredible voice, she loved singing, some of her favorite artists were, Charlie Wilson, the late Betty Wright & Tina Marie to name a few. Whenever there’s was a party know that Pam was going to be on the floor singing & dancing, and entertaining family and friends. Her talent led to opportunities to sing alongside nationally known artists including ++LL Cool J++, ++Roger Troutman++ and the ++Zapp++ Band, ++Marvin Gaye++, and ++Shirley Caesar++. Whether gospel music was playing or old-school classics filled the room, she could always be found singing along, dancing, laughing, and making sure everyone around her was having a good time.
Cooking was one of her greatest love languages. Anyone who knew her knew the kitchen was where love came alive. From family dinners to celebrations filled with food and laughter, her meals brought comfort and togetherness to everyone around her. Her passion for cooking eventually became reality through Aunt Pam’s Kitchen in Houston, Texas, where delicious food and warm hospitality created unforgettable experiences.
Traveling, cruises, bingo nights, music, dancing, and spending time with loved ones brought her so much happiness. Life was meant to be enjoyed, and she did exactly that — living boldly, loving deeply, and laughing often. Her energy was contagious, her smile unforgettable, and her presence impossible to ignore. She had a special way of making strangers feel like family and making everyone around her feel seen, heard, and loved.
Pam’s memory will continue to live on through her loving mother, Opal Allen; grandmother, Mossie Wright; devoted siblings Michael Allen, Mark Allen(Wanda), Januetta London, and Sherri Lynn Allen Sister In Love; Katherine Allen; her beloved children, grandchildren, bonus grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
