Neta Washington

Mrs. Neta Jurretta Williams-Washington was born January 9, 1965, to Allie Mae Timms-Hilburn and Arbra Joe Williams Sr. She was raised and nurtured by her paternal grandmother Mrs. Frankie Allen and her aunt Annie Mae Douglas (Aunt Sis).

She was a faithful member of South Main Church of Christ in Gladewater, Texas until moving her membership to Westview Church of Christ in Kilgore, Texas.

She attended Sabine ISD and furthered her education at Kilgore College where she majored in accounting. She later earned a Certificate in Medical Billing from Ashford College and was employed by Liberty Tax until her health began to hinder.

She united in Holy Matrimony to Calvin Washington in February of 1997. She departed this earth on Monday, October 10th at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandmother, and aunt. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Calvin Washington; her pride and joy Cortez Dwayne Harvey (Steven Craig); one step-daughter Amber Washington (Robert Warthsaw); seven sisters Pam (Alvin Harvey), Linda, Lorretta, Diane (Bobby Wallace), Phyllis (Anthony Brown), Barbara Ann (Mark Chambers); four brothers Tony Timms, Arbra Joe Williams Jr., Joe Edward, and Timothy Hilburn; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, loved ones, and many friends she met along the way.
