On June 28, 1957, a baby girl named Mary Lou Henson was born to B.D. and Ollie Mae Burley Henson in Wood County, TX.
Mary attended school in Winnsboro and graduated from Winnsboro High School in 1977. She was an awesome basketball and softball player during her High School years. After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles and attended L.A. Community College. After several years in Los Angeles.
Mary moved back to Winnsboro.
Softball was something she enjoyed playing. Many trips were made to Quitman to play in their Women's Softball League. She had many friends during her lifetime.
She worked at Hopkins County Jail, Telford Unit, and Benham and Keller's Creamery.
She was a member of Church of God's Word, where she served as a Deacon.
Mary Lou Henson died Monday, September 2, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jarrod, brothers Billy Ray and Darwin, sisters Janie V. and Brenda.
She leaves to mourn her memories; daughter Valarie Wilburn, son Charles "Chuck" Wilburn, brother William Henson (Jacque), sister Gloria Carter, grandchildren Corey, Sinayah, Jordan, and Cyrus, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
