Marion Fortson

Marion Fortson was born September 18, 1919 to the late Claude and Joyce Palmer Fortson in Gregg County, Texas.

She passed away September 2, 2015 in Longview, Texas.

She was a faithful member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories,brothers Calvin Fortson Sr. (Katherine) and Bobby Fortson (Lora), both of Kilgore, Texas. Sisters Beadie Pentecost Heardon, also of Kilgore,Texas. Grandson Lafayette Jeffery, Jr. (Chenekia) of Hallsville, Texas. Granddaughters Bobbie Scott (Kilgore), Eddie Scott (Kilgore). Arleen Nuni Strong(Houston, Texas) Great-grandchildren: Shaquindalon Brown, Cherelle Williams, Shadarrion Brown, Cheree Brown, Chas Bernard Jeffery, Chasmynne Jeffery, Chastin Jeffery, JaTavia Seastrunk, and La Jayden Jeffery. 8 great great grandchildren, special niece Beverly Ann Mumphrey and son Kyle Jackson. Special friends Joe Lacy, Ray Scott, Bo and Carmen Camp, Lucy and Novel Miller, Norma Barrow Stephens, and Lydia Witcher. A host of relatives, friends, and coworkers.
