Margaret Pierce

Margaret Lanell Pierce was born to Gid and Lomer Dudley Smith on September 6, 1943 in Rusk County. Her Lord and Savior called her home on March 13, 2012.
She attended Kilgore Schools. She was a member of St. John Steber Grove Baptist Church. She worked for KISD Schools for several years and retired from Kilgore College after more than twenty years.
Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Verneitta Hamilton and Emma Louise Sibley and one brother Charles Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband, Shirley Mack Pierce of Kilgore, Texas; two daughters Latane Pierce and Rhona Pierce of Kilgore, Texas; four sons, Jason Pierce (Sophia) of Arlington, Texas; Rodney Pierce (Tonya) of Longview, Texas; Forrest Pierce (Beverly) of White Oak, Texas; and Mack Pierce (Alesia) of Longview, Texas; one sister Ernestine Colbert of Overton, Texas; two brothers, Rommie Smith ( LaQuincia) of Kilgore, Texas; Raymond Smith (Mary Ann) of Marshall, Texas; seventeen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
