Lullean Mccraney

August 5, 1923 — August 17, 2009

Lullean Smith McCraney was born in Kilgore, TX. on August 6, 1923 to the late Charlie and Pearl Smith. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Pleasant CME Church until she moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she united with United Methodist Church of Edwards, Missouri where she served as a Missionary Leader. She married James F. McCraney in 1942, he preceded her in death. She attended Mt. Pleasant Elementary School, and North Chapel High School, she received her General Hospital School of Nursing Diploma on August 31, 1950. She was granted a Registered Nurse License for the State of Texas on April 19, 1993. She was employed at Monorah Hospital as a Registered Nurse and later provided contract services with Anesthesiology Services, Inc. as an Anesthetist. She was the third of eight siblings of which three preceded her in death; Oze Lee Sanders, Polly Moorer, and Gladys Smith. She leaves to cherish her memories, three sisters, Clora Austin, and Mae Valentine Wynn both of Kilgore, Texas; Hazel Beck of Carrollton, Texas; one brother Bobby Smith of Stockton, California; and a host of nieces and nephews. Her extended family includes, Edna McClendon, Johnnie Mae Sentry and Earnest and Kathy McCraney of Kansas City, Missouri.
