Lee Porter "Junior" Palmer

Mr. Lee Porter "Junior" Palmer was born to the late C.B. McKinley Palmer and Jeroleane Williams on May 12, 1935. He transitioned peacefully on February 5, 2025 at The Hospice of East Texas, Tyler, TX.

He graduated from North Chapel High School Class of 1954.

He was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Overton, TX. Later on, he became a member of Freewill Church of the Living God Kilgore, TX. He was Baptist and proud to be a member of his church.

He would go on later to meet the love of his life, Loraine Wallace Palmer. Three children were born Barbara Nell Palmer, Brenda Palmer Johnson, and Kenneth Ray Palmer.

He worked at Pearl Beer Company for 25 years, part-time at Kilgore Liquor Store, and retired from Laidlaw, Kilgore, TX.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Barbara Nell Palmer, brother Walter Denweed, sister Thelma Jane Washington, and brother Charles Wesley Palmer.

He leaves behind a loving wife Loraine Wallace Palmer; daughter Brenda Palmer Johnson; son Kenneth Ray Palmer (Gerry); brother Eddie Preston Palmer; sisters Nancy Beckworth and Shirley Bryant; nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
