Julia Merle Mayfield was born to the parentage of Eddie and Evelyn Freeman on September 12, 1929 in Union County, Arkansas. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Willie Alexander and they adopted a baby boy named Wiilie Lee, (better known as Peter Rabbit). She later united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Gerald Mayfield who preceded her in death. She worked for the Henderson Clay Brick Plant for many years and retired there. She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of it until she suffered a stroke in August of 2002. She was admitted into Highland Pines Nursing Home where she resided until she departed this life on June 5, 2010. She leaves to cherish her memories an adopted son, Willie Jones and Shirley of Detroit, MI., Two brothers, Eddie Freeman, Jr. and Flossie of Eldorado, AR., J. Calvin (Slick) Williams & Minister Sherry of Kilgore, TX. 2 grandchildren of Detroit, MI., 8 nieces: Christia Daniels of Longview, Tx., Hattie Brannon of Kilgore, Tx.,Elder Jean Sanders of Shreveport, La.,Geraldine Riley and Eva Frazier of Eldorado, AR., Starlet Williams of Kilgore, Tx.,Twilikki Williams of Longview, Tx., and Stephanie Williams of Kilgore, TX. 3 nephews, Michael Freeman and Charles Freeman of Eldorado, AR., and James C.(Bobo)Williams, Jr., of Kilgore, Tx., and a host of great nieces, nephews,and other relatives and friends.
