Henry Lee Sanders

Henry Lee Sanders , was born on July 14,1959, in Overton, Texas, to Mr. John G. Sanders and Mrs. Louberta Wilson Sanders.  He was a member of Scott’s Memorial C.M.E. Church.  He attended Overton ISD and was employed by Edgar Riddle Contractor in Overton, Texas.

Henry united in Holy Matrimony with his High School sweetheart, Marsha Grant; in this union three children were born: Shanika Grant-Davis, Michael Grant, and Corydario Grant.  Henry loved his family and enjoyed the family gatherings.

On December 23, 2020, Henry was called home to his eternal resting place with his Heavenly Father.  He was preceded in death by his mother , Mrs. Louberta Wilson Sanders; father, John G. Sanders, Sr.; brothers, Gussie Lee Spencer, Kenneth Sanders, Mike Sanders, and Calvin Sanders; ex-wife, Marsha Grant Sanders, and a host of uncles and aunts.

Those left with precious memories:  daughter, Shanika Grant-Davis, (Theodore Davis) of Augusta, GA.; sons, Michael Grant of Overton, TX., and Corydario Grant of Overton, TX.; brother, John Sanders of Overton, TX., sisters, Sandy K. Holbert of  Ft. Worth, TX, Mary Lois Abdul-Rahlm (Saafir Abdul-Rahlm) of Ft.Worth, TX, Faye Lois Cotton of Overton, TX. , Ruby Jean Hinton (Billy Hinton) of Overton, TX., and Alice Lee Colbert of Kilgore, TX.  Aunts: Marilyn Ruth King of Overton, TX, Eva Mae Wilson of Tyler, TX. Uncle, James Wilson of Dallas, TX.  Grandchildren :  A’lajauan Lewis of Augusta, GA., The’Alra Davis of Tacoma, WA., Gracie Sanders, Hannna, D’ Cory Grant, ZaCorya Grand, Jordan, K’ori, Cortez, DaCoys, Corlin, and Koureyae; great grandson, Dallas Toves of Tacoma, WA, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.  Also, Gary “Rooster” Stevens, his special friend that always checked in on him.
