Gerald Lynn was born to Wilton Ruth Williams and Eugene Brown on December 9,1966 in Beaumont, Texas. He was baptized into Christ as a young man, at Marsalis Avenue Church of Christ, Dallas, Texas.
Upon High School completion, he enlisted in the Navy, where he became a Culinary Specialist. Gerald was on active duty from 1985–1994, and served on the USS Samuel Gompers (AD-37). While stationed in the Philippines, he met the love of his life, Lorena G. Comabig. From this union, they shared two beautiful children, Roel (RJ) and Hatai. Gerald left active duty in 1994 while stationed in the Puget Sound (Pacific northwest). He previously resided in Washington State and in recent days he was a resident of Santa Maria, CA., where he resided with his Veteran brothers.
He loved and missed his family dearly, and one day hoped to live in Texas again to be closer to them. He was a beacon of light for many and always had an infectious laugh. Dancing was one of the activities that brought joy to him...while others found joy watching. As people would say, “He was the party starter.” Gerald enjoyed cooking, and loved to tell endless stories. Because of his love for nature, the ocean became one of his favorite pass time.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife.
Left to cherish his memories are his children: Roel and Hatai Williams; brothers, Eugene and Ricky (Clara); and a host of other relatives, family, and friends.
