Gene Rogers Wheat

Mr. Gene Rogers Wheat, age 68, was born on January 31, 1956 in Overton, TX. to Roger Wheat and Elizabeth Sheppard. Gene attended Kilgore schools. He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Henderson, TX. Gene went to be with our Heavenly Father on July 3, 2024. He married Janice Marie Brown-Wheat on March 17, 1986 and shared a special life with her until she demised October 10, 2021. Later on he encountered life with a special friend Vivian Diane Pittman. He is preceded in death by both parents and his wife. Gene is survived by his daughter Keva Templeton (Husband Brandon) of Kilgore, TX. Keith Henderson and (Wife Dusty) of Dallas TX. Siblings: Shirley Mauldin (Husband David) of Kilgore, TX. Betty Ingram (Husband Les) of Kilgore, TX. Patricia Cobb (Husband Thurman) of Tyler, TX and Tyrone Wheat of Kilgore, TX. Grandchildren: Michael Henderson, Keyonna Ector (Husband Breon) of Kilgore, TX. Great-grandchildren: Emori Ector, Karson Ector, Ma’Keya Henderson, Aaden Henderson, and Adrian Henderson. Multiple nieces and nephews. One God-daughter Whitney Johnson and a host of many other family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
