Mrs. Fayerine Elder Jones was born on May 22, 1945 to Mr. Lonnie Elder Sr. and Mrs. Ethel Tolbert Elder in Smith County, Texas.
Mrs. Jones attended Dunbar Elementary School and Jackson High School. After graduating High School (Class of 1964) she worked in the Food Service Department at TJC where she deemed herself a "Chef."
Mrs. Jones would continue to showcase her culinary skills at other fine eateries in the Tyler, Texas area. She was also a small business owner. She owned a small cafe in Kilgore, TX. fondly remembered as "The Little Place." Later, she changed her profession and became a Home Health Care Provider where she touched the lives of others.
Early in life, Mrs. Jones accepted Christ and united with County Line Church of the Living God under the leadership of Pastor B.G. Hilburn. She would later join Noahs Ark under the leadership of her brother Pastor Elder James Elder.
Mrs. Jones was received and wrapped in eternal peace on December 21, 2020 at her residence in Chapel Hill. She was 75 years of age.
Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Ethel Elder and three brothers L.T. Elder, Lonnie Elder Jr., and Walter Elder.
She leaves to cherish her memory three children Ebony Jones, Hortincia Jones, and Billy Ray Jones III; three grandchildren Chloe Steber (Ms. D), Darrell Collins Jr. (D.J.), and Jalessa Jones (Ms. Lay Lay); one extended granddaughter Sara Crosby (Carrot Juice); one brother Pastor Elder James Elder (Sandra); three sisters Virrine Austin, Luciel Gordon (Theo), and Linda Elder; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
