Evelyn Fae Thurmond

Evelyn Fae Thurmond was born July 4, 1946 to the parentage of Ruby Rossum and Herman Smith.

Evelyn was baptized and accepted Christ as her Savior at Corinth Church of Christ (now New Hope Church of Christ).

Evelyn was a strong woman with a feisty spirit.  She had a way of leaving a lasting impression on those she met.  She did her best to instill the love of the Lord, education, and hard work into her children.

Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Cynthia Kay Tennyson and Herma Jean Pittman; her brother Willie Smith; and her two sons-Randy Smith and Roderick Smith.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory: Daughter Kim C. Maxwell (McKinney, TX), Grandchildren, Victor Mann (Chay), Roderick Smith Jr, Latisha Walker (Gerard), Kiva Maxwell, Caleb Maxwell, Kennedi, and six great grandchildren.  Siblings Debra Rossum Brookins and Nathaniel Rossum (Lenora), nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and family.
