Eva(Peggy) Ellison Muckelroy

Funeral services for Eva Muckelroy will be held Saturday, November 14, 11:00 a.m. at Kilgore Baptist Church. Mrs. Muckelroy, born July 7, 1922, died Sunday, November 8 after a lengthy illness. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, November 13 from 6:00 pm. 7:30 p.m. at the Cunningham Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Muckelroy, a long time resident of Kilgore and a senior member of Kilgore Baptist Church was born in the Dallas area where she attended Dallas schools. She graduated Booker T. Washington High School in 1940 and attended Prairie View A&M College. She worked many years in the clothing industry where she retired as a seamstress. She was married for 64 years to Erby (Dot) Muckelroy, of Kilgore, TX of which they had three children, Gregory Muckelroy of Kilgore, TX, Linda M. Hall of Dallas, TX and Debra M. Jackson, Houston, TX. She also had four grandchildren, Darryl Jason. (D.J.) Muckelroy (Michelle) of Ft. Worth, TX, Rachel Muckelroy of Dallas, TX, Jay Jackson and Dustin Jackson both of Houston, TX along with three great-great grandchildren, Madison, D.J., II, and Dylan.
