Essie Mae Flennoy

Essie Mae Daniels Flennoy, daughter of the late Essick and Mildred Daniels passed peacefully from this life Friday, March 17, 2017 after a gradual decline in her health. She was born July 7, 1925 in Gladewater, Texas. At an early age she united with Mt. Zion CME Church and excepted Jesus into her life. She moved to Dallas, Texas in her twenties and graduated from Southern Baptist Ethologic Seminary. She united with Cross of Christ Baptist Church where she served as Sunday school teacher until her health failed. She was preceded in death by her nephew Gradie B. whom she raised as a son, five brothers, Dessie, Gradie, Clifford, Calvin and Billie Gene, five sisters, Alice, Fairie, Ora B., Mertie and Bay Ruth. Essie Mae Daniels Flennoy, leaves her only child Margean Strong Arnold. Her grandchildren, Derrick Strong (Tawana), Dyrian Strong, Starlette Strong, Denica Daniels McLntyre ,and Desi Daniels. Her great-grandchildren, Byron Strong, Victoria Fleming, LaTisha Strong, Marquecia Layton, Tiffany Pyburn, Trizchain Whitfield, Natalie Strong, and Neshuncy'ae Whitfield. four God-children Tyrone Deadmon, Jacqueline Neal, Billy Neal, Rhonda Johnson. Five great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
