Elvord Coots Woods

He was born March 3, 1919 to the late Frank and Jennie Woods in the Pleasant Green Community. He attended Pleasant Green Baptist Church in his earlier years, graduated from Greenville Public schools, served in United States Army, retired from Tyler Packing Co.

He was married to Mattie Woods.
He died December 12, 2014 in Kilgore.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, sister Geneva Henderson, brothers, Harvell, Kelsey, Roger, and Gary Woods.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a brother Murry Woods of Kilgore; nieces Dr. Ina Mae Jeffery of Newark, N.J., Inez Dean of Dallas, TX., Janice Purylar of St. Louis, MO., Ruby J. Pegues of Kilgore, TX.; nephews, Harold Woods Jr., Wichita, KS., Willie D. Dean, Kilgore, TX., Larry Sheppard, Kilgore, TX; other relatives and friends.
