Elsie Mae Ashley

Sister Elsie Mae Ashley, was born February 14, 1929 in
Rusk County to the parentage of the late Elzie and Eula Mae
Sibley. She and the love of her life, Claude Ashley were
married June 8, 1947.

She was an active and faithful member of Wayside Church
of God In Christ before her failing health.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a brother and her
husband.

She leaves to cherish her memories nine siblings: James
Sibley, Donnell Sibley, Willie C. Sibley, Kilgore, Texas; Annie L. Hall, Overton, Texas; Emma Henderson, Henderson,
Texas; Alvin Sibley, Jerry Sibley, Dallas, Texas; Juanita
Robertson, Linda Kennedy, Tyler, Texas; eight children:
Carolyn Cheney, Mildred Ashley, Claude Ashley Jr., Eloise
Ashley, Monie Ashley, Marvin Ashley (Lanetta), and Steven
Ashley (Lisa) all of Kilgore, Texas; Veronica Tutaj, Austin,
Texas; eight grandchildren: Steven Ashley Jr., Crystal Ashley,
Atlanta, Georgia; Aeriel Holte (Greg), Tyler, Texas; Tyler,
Tutja, Austin, TX; Joshua Ashley (Tish), Wilburton,
Oklahoma; Andrea Ashley, Vermykia Carr, Shawn Carr,
Kilgore, Texas; seven greatgrandchildren and a host of
nieces and nephews.
