Dorothy Midgett was born January 10, 1922 in Kilgore, Texas to the late Phillip Tolbert and Ruth Timms Square. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. She attended the Gregg COunty Public Schools. She worked as a great Culinary Master (Cook) and worked in many restaurants and for the Kilgore Independent School District. She always added an extra cup of love. She was a Mother of eight children. She was preceded in death by one son Phillip Harris and one brother Johnnie Lee Harris. On December 4th, 2009 she won her long battle and struggle of fighting numerous medical conditions and accepted her invitation to a healthier, peaceful, new life, free from pain and suffering. In accepting that invitation, she leaves behind her memory to her husband, David Lee Midgett of Kilgore. Her childern; Gereldiine Hargray of Oklahoma City, OK. One brother; Rev. N.L. Square (Debra) of Tyler, Texas. Her grandchildren; Byron and Berry Walker, Danyal Bulter, Roger Williams, Briana and Stephanie Harris, Traci Coats. Eight great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
