Deborah Daniels

Mrs. Deborah Louise Lucas Daniels was born on August 6, 1921 to Charlie Merchant Lucas and Lou Ella Jackson Lucas. On March 6, 2018 she departed this life to be with the Lord and Savior and her husband, Otis Daniels, who has been waiting for her for 18 years.

She united with the Post Oak CME Church, where she accepted Christ at an early age. In 1942, after marrying the love of her life, Otis Daniels, she moved her membership to the Fredonia Baptist Church in Kilgore, Texas where she served in whatever
capacity needed. Working with the Youth and the Usher Board was always the area that made her the happiest.

She attended and graduated from Ned E. Williams High School. Later, in January 1972, she earned a Certificate as a Nursing Attendant and became a caregiver for Mr. and Mrs. Charles Radar of Kilgore, Texas until she retired.

Deborah will be remembered most for always being around and caring for her family. Her children, son in law, and grandchildren were the things that kept her the busiest and full of life, right up to her death.

She was preceded in death by her Husband of 58 years, Otis Daniels, and her parents, Charlie Merchant and Lou Ella Jackson Lucas. Her siblings, Ardee Lucas, Nathadis Lucas, Judson Lucas, Elzia Lucas, Versia Lucas Thurmond, Ora B. Lucas and Dayna M. Lucas Daniels.

Deborah is survived by her daughter, Zelna Daniels Mayberry (Clarence), and son Ricky H. Daniels of Kilgore, Texas.

Four grandchildren, Chakeshia Daniels, Longview, TX, Courtney Daniels-Landers (Luke) Kilgore, TX, Brian Otis Mayberry, Mesquite, TX, Brittany E. Mayberry, Channelview, TX.

Five Great-Grandchildren: Mia, Sanaah and Savanah Daniels, Briley and Braxton Landers and one great-great grandchild Ari Rose Daniels.

One sister: Melvie Lucas Bates and two brothers, Calvin Lucas (Alene) and Shannon Lucas (Naomi). Sister in laws: Lettie B. Conway and Charlean Span (Johnny) and one brother in law: Tyree Daniels (Jimmie) and a host of Nieces and Nephews and other
relatives and friends.
