Darwin Anthony Henson was born September 15, 1954 to the parentage of B.D. and Ollie Mae Henson in Winnsboro, Texas. On Friday, February 3, 2012 at 12:30 P.M. Darwin answered the Makers calling to come home at his residence in Winnsboro, Texas.
In his early years Darwin attended Winnsboro High School where he played football, ran track, played in the band, and was a member of the honor society. He was a member of the class of 73.
He also attended Eastfield College of Mesquite, Texas. After college he worked for 20 years for Southwestern Bell Phone Company.
In his early years, he dedicated his life to Christ at Mt. Olive Church of God In Christ. Darwin moved to Dallas where worked for Southwestern Bell and then to Tyler, Texas for several years.
Darwin was very intelligent, he loved to cook and never met a stranger. He had a really sweet disposition about him. He had a special love for his snouzer,Napoleon and his new puppy Max, who comforted him and stood by his side as if they were his guardians.
In his final moments of his life, in the midst of his illnesses, Darwin continued to be optimistic and find joy and peace in the arms of our Lord.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Janie Morris.
He leaves to cherish his memory, sisters, Brenda Davis, Gloria Carter, Mary Lou Henson; brothers, Billy Ray Henson, William Henson; sister-in-law Pie Henson; special friend Billy Lowry; nieces Valarie Wilburn, Shandra Traylor; nephews, Jarrod Henson, Charles Williams, Roderick Carter, Greg Carter, a host of other family and friends.
