Colleen Cooks

She was born February 1, 1939 to the parentage of Dessie and Savannah Sheffield Moore.She was a faithful member of El Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an Usher. She graduated from CB Dansby Colored High School.

She was married to Horace Cooks on September 9, 1960, to this union one son was born Richard. She also adopted grandson Jason .
She died April 3, 2014 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by, her parents, husband, three brothers, Richard Moore, Perry Dee Moore, and LA Moore, three sisters, Claudette Moore, Ruth Haynes, and Patsy Moore.
She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Richard Cooks, and Jason Cooks; two grandsons, Kwesi Cooks, and Richard Cooks all of Kilgore, TX.; three brothers Robert Moore (Ora) Tyler, TX; Willie Moore (Mary) Springfield,MA; and Willie McClure ( Dorothy) Dallas, TX; sister in law Margie Moore, Kilgore, TX; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors.
