Charles Ray James

Charles Ray James was born to the late Leonard Ray James and Maudie Dean Bell-James on August 16, 1964 in Dallas, TX.

Charles attended Marshall schools and worked for a cabinet company. He enjoyed fishing, playing with his grandchildren, and spending time with his family. He met and married the love of his life Eloise Chance on February 14, 1996 and to this union five children were born.

Charles went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 21, 2020.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brothers Leonard D. James, Ervin Glenn James, Ivan Lynn James, and Darin Curtis James.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories: his loving wife of 24 years Eloise James of Marshall, TX; children Charles Chance of Marshall, TX., LaTasha James of Marshall, TX., Ervan James of Tyler, TX., Chuckie (Jessica) James of Kilgore, TX., and Iesha James of Marshall, TX.; two brothers Vernon James and Clifford James of Marshall, TX.; three aunts Joyce Johnson, Anna Pearl Johnson, and Sharon Wade; brother & sister-in-law’s Mose Mallory, Pinkie Bush, Johnny Chance, Paula Houston, Willie Chance, Jimmie Chance, Emma Chance Abdur-Razzaq, and Luvette Chance; seven grandchildren and a host of niece, nephews, other relatives and friends.
