Carolyn Dudley Register

She was born February 27, 1950 to the parentage of Willie Ruth Dudley Gibbs and Pete Lampkin in Kilgore, Texas. She attended Kilgore Public Schools and later completed high school in Akron, Ohio. She furthered her education at Kilgore College taking selected courses.

At an early age she united with Harmony Pirtle Baptist Church where she remained until she met and married Marcelis Register raising 3 children. She then united with the Post Oak Baptist Church and became a faithful and active member working as a Deaconess, choir member, Sunday School, and on the culinary committee. Let it be known to all she would serve wherever she was needed.
She was a quiet soul but very loud in her giving to the family that she loved with all her heart and to the community. The Spradlin Family became a part of her extended family. Putting the Lord first in all she did Carolyn was always about her Heavenly Father's business, she exemplified Matt. 28:19 "go ye therefore".
She passed away Thursday, June 15, 2017 in Longview, TX.
She is preceded in death by her husband Marcelis Register, her beloved grandmother Essie Mae Dudley, her mother Willie Ruth Dudley Gibbs, 1 brother Michael Gibbs, 2 aunts Lillie Dudley Stansell, and Bernice Dudley Jones, 4 uncles Charles Dudley, Benny Dudley, Billy Dudley, and Travis Dudley.
She leaves to cherish her memories 3 step-children, Rodney Register, Marcelis ( Donna) Register ll, Vernita Register of Fort Smith, Arkansas; 2 sisters, Michelle and Lisa Edwards of Akron, Ohio; 1 uncle, Curtis ( Betty) Dudley of Longview, TX; 3 aunts, Shirley (Sylvester) Marshall of Grand Prairie, TX; Rena Scott and Mary ( Charles) Gray both of Longview, TX; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
