Calvin Lawerence Williams Sr.

CALVIN LAWRENCE WILLIAMS, SR. was born July 3, 1945 to the late John and Eldora Williams in Overton, TX. He grew up in the New Hope Community and attended C.B Dansby High School where he graduated in 1962. He met and married his eternal love Patricia Ann Brown in 1965. To this union three children were born Tammy, Angela and Calvin, Jr. He nurtured his children into adulthood in Kilgore, Tx; where he united with Westview Church of Christ in 1982. He remained a faithful member until his health failed in 1998. He was employed by Standard Tool Industries as a fork lift driver for 20 years until the company closed. He continued working for Trinity Industries as a foreman until his health failed in 1995. "Bigfoot" (Meathead) as he was affectionally know had a neverending, undying love for fast cars and mechanic work. On Thrusday morning May 20, 2010 he was called home to rest after a long battle. He now rests beside the Heavenly Father. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, three brothers Erastus Williams, Laurence Wiliams and Charles Williams and two sisters Florence Garland and Maxine Maddox. He is survived by two daughters Tammy (David) Rossum-Dallas, Tx, Angela (Sam) Gipson-Henderson, Tx; one son Calvin (Vee) Lawrence Williams, Jr.; mother of his children Patricia Ann Johnson-Flint MI; a special daughter Regina Williams; seven sisters Crezzetta Thurmond-Kilgore, Tx, Helen Jones and Ernestine Smith both of Dallas, Tx, Gary Sue Arwine-Carson Ca, Wanda Robertson and Marion Johnson-both of Henderson, Tx; Alice Fay Williams-Inglewood, Ca; and one brother Johnny Lee Williams-Washington, D.C., 10 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren. Left to be comforted by the Holy Spirit are his children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
