Mr. Burnett Lacy Sr. was born on March 11, 1943 to the parentage of Mr. David Lacy (deceased) and Mrs. Leaster Lewis Lacy (deceased) in Rusk County. He received his education at Carlisle ISD in Price, TX. As a kid Burnett grew up attending church at Macedonia Church of God in Christ, Henderson, TX. As an adult he continued to serve God by attending various churches. He was a loving man to anyone in need. He was always smiling, laughing, and living his life like there was no tomorrow; everyday was a good day. He loved working for himself. He serviced his community mowing yards, painting houses, landscaping and working on cars. He will be remembered as a man of all trades. Burnett was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Brown Lacy.
He leaves to cherish his memories to his children: Burnett Lacy Jr. (Tanky), Derick Lacy, Carolyn Nell Moore (stepdaughter), Lonnie Man Brown (stepson); Burnett was preceded in death by daughter Tosha Lacy. Grandchildren: Jessica Wheat, Qwenci Lacy, Svaan Lacy, Raven Lacy Beal, Nakia Brown, Na’Torrious Ross, Jaylon Lacy, Kennieth Lacy, La’Keithia Lacy, Josiah Lacy, Jacquelyn Washington, Alexis Chicalus, Deiontae Lacy, D’Shailynn Lacy, Jaylynn Smith, Cameron Reed; Burnett was preceded in death by grandson William Wheat (deceased). Great-grandchildren: Qwenic Lacy Jr., Lania Lacy, Simya Lacy and Mila Lacy. Siblings: Glenda Reddic/Billey Reddic (brother-in-law, deceased) Kilgore, TX, Doris Owens Jones/Charles Jones (brother-in-law) McKinney, TX, Rickey Lacy Henderson, TX; Burnett was preceded in death by brother Bryant Lacy.
