Bruce Earl Stewart was born on June 11,1958 to the late James Lee Stewart and Mildred Stewart Willis.
He attended Whitehouse High School and graduated in the class of 1977 where he was a standout basketball player. Bruce attended Whitehouse COGIC at an early age.
He then became a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and was Baptized in April 1981.While a member there he served as a deacon, usher, and choir member. He later joined Houston Temple COGIC where he was a faithful member in the Usher Dept. In 2020 Bruce joined Mitchell Chapel COGIC and was a devoted deacon until his unfortunate decline.
Bruce loved to fish, play basketball, tinker on things and gardening. Most of all he loved to pray and spend time with his family.
He was employed by JCPenny until he medically retired after 27 great years. He was named top shoe salesman of the year multiple times.
He married Cathy Edwards Stewart and to that union three daughters were born. He later married Sherry Moore Stewart and they were united for 24 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mildred Stewart Willis and James Lee Stewart. Daughter Christy Lynn Stewart.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Sherry D Stewart of Whitehouse. TX; daughters Candace L. Stewart of Tyler, TX, Chandra L. McGee (Cletus) of Whitehouse, TX, son Bryce E Stewart of Tyler, TX; stepdaughter Dikita Nobles of Pearland, TX; six grandsons Jordan, Skylan, Kason, and Braxton McGee all of Whitehouse TX, Dash and Ace Stewart both of Tyler, TX; stepfather Robert Willis of Chapel Hill, TX; three brothers Bobby D. Stewart of Whitehouse, TX, Jerry W. Stewart of Tyler, TX, James A. Stewart of Tyler, TX; three sisters Kay Smith (Henry) of Arp, TX, Sharon Kennedy (James) of Tyler, TX, Karon Starks of Tyler, TX and a host of relatives and friends who celebrate his life and legacy.
