Brenda Joyce Ross, lovingly known to many as “Bebe,” of Dallas, Texas, was born on July 20, 1952, the first daughter of Mary Ella and Roosevelt Beasley.
Introduced to God at an early age as the daughter of a Sunday School teacher and devout member of Deliverance Revival Tabernacle, Brenda’s faith guided her throughout her life. She proudly shared her spiritual beliefs with her children and everyone she encountered.
Brenda graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1972 and went on to complete the secretarial program at Norman Robert Crozier Technical School.
On June 17, 1978, Brenda married the love of her life, James Percy Ross. Their union was blessed with two children, NaQuita Montrell and Brandon Marcel Ross. Brenda and James shared 43 wonderful years of marriage before his passing in June 2021. On Thursday, October 23, 2025, Brenda peacefully reunited with her beloved husband while in hospice care.
Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, Godmother, sister, cousin, aunt, and friend. She loved deeply and fiercely, and she didn’t play when it came to her loved ones.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, NaQuita Ross; her son, Brandon Ross, and his three children, Tylan, Taniyah, and Brandy; her ten siblings—five sisters and five brothers; her Godsons, Jamon Beasley, Willie Evans Jr., and Yan Renate McHenry II; along with countless nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends whom she loved as her own.
Brenda’s life was a testament to love, faith, and family. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
