Bobbie Jackson Moss

Sister Bobbie Jean Jackson was born on June 13, 1946 in Overton, Tx to the late Kelly and Geraldine Daniels Jackson. She united with Bates Memorial C.M.E. church at an early age. She attended C.B. Dansby High School and graduated in the class of 1964. She also attended Tyler District College (Texas College) where she majored in Education for three years. She united with J.B. Moody Jr. and to this union two children were born. She joined Greater Saints Chapel C.O.G.I.C under the leadership of the late Superintendent F.L. Mitchell where she was a very faithful and active member. While faithful, God sent a daughter for her to love. She united with Willie Earl Clark and to this union one child was born and one was God sent.

On March 10, 2003 she united in holy matrimony to Vernon Ray Moss and together they had a blended family of 11. They joined El Bethel Baptist Church. In 2010 after the death of her husband she moved back to Kilgore and joined Kilgore Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Barnerders Woods where she remained a faithful and active member until her health declined. She worked at Strohs Brewery for more than 20 years. After living three years past her promise, Bobbie went to claim her crown on Wednesday, May 13, 2020. Her beautiful presence and her melodic voice will be deeply missed and forever loved. She is preceded in death by her husbands, her daughter Keycier Moody, sons J.B. Moody III and Vernon Collins, and her brother Samuel Porter.

She leaves to cherish her memory five sons, Willie (Kim) Clark, Vernon Bernard (Tonia) Moss, Michael (Kendra) Collins, Vernon Moss Jr., Desmond Moss; three daughters, Annice (Calvin) Sanders, Sharon Collins, Karen (Benjamin) Collins-Walker; and God daughter, Janet (John) Hall; 30 grandchildren, Shureka, Brodrick (Pliar), Kelli, J.B. Moody IV, Justin, Devon, Malik, MaCaila, Jana, Jadyn, Brian, Shania (Haustin), Brianna, Joshua, Amberia (Isaac), Jase, Briana, Brosolyn, Mya, Bryson, Niko, Nicole, Nicholas, Heavenly, Bernard, Kevin, Anastasia, Aryana, Sheldon (Michelle) and Jevlynn; 22 great grandchildren; Two brothers, Louis (Alice) Kelly Sr. and Robert (Velma) Johnson; Three sisters, Francis (Raymond) Mosley, Callie Jackson and Carrie Jackson; Two aunts Mary Ruth Smith, McBeth Spencer, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Bobbie had a lot of special people in her life; a few of them include: Hazel Wright, Lula Mae, Able Lee, Alice Marie, Ellis Jr., Monsanto, Roy Lee (Francis), Mary Jean, Francine (Robert), Alma Jo, Opal, Chiketa, Doll, Spencer Family and Smith Family.
