Bishop Perfeluroyz "P.D." Austin

January 7, 1944 — February 26, 2022

Perfeluroyz Austin Jr., better known as PD, was born on January 7, 1944, to the late Perfelu Dyz Austin, and Ollie Ray Tolbert Austin. He was the third of six children, and is proceeded in death by his father, mother, two brothers, and one sister.
He attended North Chapel School at an early age.
He worked many jobs, to include: being a truck driver, a house mover, and heavy equipment operator for Gregg County Precinct-3. He was also an entrepreneur, where he was the manager, and operator of Bishop's Best Restaurant and Austin Trash Service.
When he found the butter on his toast, the cream in his coffee, the jam to his jelly, and the treasure to his chest, she gave him a twinkle in his eye. He united in holy matrimony with Emma Louise Thompson, on April 15, 1966. They were married 55 and a half years, and to this union five children were born.
Early in life he United with the County Line Church of the Living God. There, he realized that he loved to sing the gospel, and the group The Golden Crowns were formed. After a number of years, he moved his membership to Gloryland C.O.G.I.C., under the pastorage of Elder James Elder. Through his singing, he was called to the ministry, and was then ordained by Dr. L.B.T. Smith as a Bishop. He was the pastor of True Saints Church of the Living God, for over 35 years, and continued until his health began to fail.
