Bertha Taylor

She was born February 18, 1914 to the parentage of Tom and Lillian Sanders in Kilgore, Texas. She was the third oldest of nine children and the oldest daughter. She attended New Hope Community Schools. At an early age she united with New Hope Baptist Church in Kilgore, where she was an active member of the Usher Board and Missionary Society. She married Robert Lewis Taylor (R.L.) in August 1937,to this union three children were born: Jean Taylor Rabon(James) Dallas, Tx; Cecil Taylor(Geneva),Henry C. Taylor(Ann) all of Kilgore, TX; She leaves to cherish her memory three loving children, one sister Louise Jenkins,Lancaster, TX; two brothers, Crawford Sanders, Leon Sanders both of Kilgore, TX. six grandchildren, seven-great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends. Preceding her in the homecoming were her parents and husband, brothers, Odis, Arthur, and Willie A Sanders,adopted brother I.D. Hutchins, sisters, Emma Colby and Odell Harris, and grandson Ronnie D. Taylor.
