He is survived byHazel Arnold,his daughterDorisSanders,his son Travis Crockett, his grandchildren, Adriana Sanders,KalanaSanders,Om.ar Sanders, Joslyn Crockett, andTristynCrockett, his daughtersEmma Jean Hutchings,VioleArnold,grandchildren Charles Hutchings, AnthonyKpee, and Donald Conner, sistersJereleneWaters, Emmer Manning, Artie Anderson, Shirley Hardy, and brotherArcelliousKelly Fortson, and many other loved ones.

He was a truck driver for Gipson Drilling, Dand L Welding, and he retired from Meadowbrook Golf Course in Kilgore, Texas. He was called to heaven on October 23, 2016 surrounded by loved ones
