She was born August 17, 1933 in Smith County to the parentage of the late Willie and Willie Mae King Phillips. She attended Waterbluff Schools. She worked as a caregiver for many years, she was a member of Starrville Church of God In Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, two granddaughters, and one great-grandchild.
She was united in holy matrimony to Joe Lee Jackson Sr., who preceded her in death, to this union five children were born.
She leaves to cherish her memories; two daughters, Rosa Jiles (Marvin) of Tyler, TX; Dorothy Lawler of Winona, TX; three son's, Bennie Jackson (Johnnie) of Tyler, TX; Joe Jackson Jr.(Marian) of Woodbridge, Virginia; Marian Jackson of Dallas, TX; One sister Mae Frances Toliver of Kilgore, TX; two brothers Abe Lee Phillips of Winona, TX; Henry Phillips of Tyler, TX; A Special Friend Leslie Wagoner Jr., of New Summerfield, TX., eight grandchildren, and twenty one great-grandchildren, four sister-in-laws, and three brother-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and other relatives and friends.
